A Refreshing Summer Cocktail you should be drinking

As we are in the midst of summer, there is always a desire for a refreshing, new drink to try. We are excited to tell you about our new partnership with Musgrave gin, a luxury brand born in South Africa; Musgrave gin is no ordinary spirit – it is an artisan gin celebrated for its top notes of Cardamom, African Ginger, and Grains of Paradise. Being the mixologist and brand ambassador, we hosted their first New York event in the West Village earlier this year, and since then we have created various “sex in a glass” cocktails using this spirit.

One of our favorites is The Fever cocktail, made using Musgrave Pink, a gin derived from an infusion of rose water. It is our go-to cocktail for the summer, and it is made with lemongrass tea, pink rose gin, and pink peppercorn dust for garnish. This cocktail can be a fresh twist to lemonade as it contains floral notes of rose and summer.

We source our lemongrass tea from a local artisan tea shop called Bellocq tea shop/atelier in Greenpoint, where we hosted one of our immersive cocktail events. Being a Brit, I love my tea so we have created an experiential event called Afternoon Delight where you can learn about the ritual and sample many of our tea cocktails.

Here is the recipe below

2 oz. Musgrave Pink infused with lemongrass tea

1 oz. cardamom and star anise syrup

¾ oz. fresh lemon juice

Grind of pink peppercorn dust for garnish

Cheers!
